$6 shower, hot tub, & sauna "oh my"
Since the Skamania lodge wasn't an actual campground, I had to figure out a way to be fresh and clean. The first morning after arriving I wasn't familiar with the ground of the area, and after a rough and hot night of sleep gave myself a nice "sink bath" in the women's restroom of the conference center before the days event started. Later than evening after the sessions had wrapped up for the day, I made my way down to the lovely Waterleaf Spa that was attached to the lodge. The spa had a nice big heated swimming pool indoors, a lovely outdoor hot tub in nature (as pictured on the post) and the most lovely part was in the ladies restroom area, there was a women's only hot tub, sauna and of course SHOWERS! This was a $6 a day dream come true for me and it made my stay for the weekend so fresh and so clean. I love being able to break a good sweat each day and follow that with a cold shower.
The experience with the sauna got me thinking that I would like to build my own sauna in the future to be able to have the ability to have a healing sweat any time of the year.
