1st - Chicken or the Egg?
Title: based on the picture of the eggs, but nothing to do with what I am writing. Or maybe it does have something to do with my post. I was spending time yesterday with one of my best friends Christine who at this point in my life is more family than friend. I really can't imagine what life would be like without her love and support and I am so grateful to have her in my life. The picture of the eggs are the beautiful little what I call Easter eggs that are laid daily by her Hens that her family took in this year to live in their chicken house on their property. I absolutely love how much enjoyment and peace it seems these chickens have brought to Christine and her family. Some people may look at The Moore Family and see success on the outside because of the things that my friends have accomplished in their work and leadership in the Navy, but when I get to be with Christine I see the success in such a different light.
Their family is the most loving and educational experience I have ever had. I can't imagine what it is like to raise four boys in society today, however, C and her husband have done such an excellent job and their children are the most loving and respectfully kids I have ever met. Are they young and full of energy - YES, and that is always interesting. However, I know if I am ever needing a pick me up of love and beautiful affection in my days of being single and alone - there is always a house full of love that they have waiting to welcome me. C grew up in the north east and I am not certain they had a farm or animals growing up, but I love watching her embrace the amazing connection to the earth that she has and with her children, husband, and chickens.
Success in life, I have finally come to understand has nothing to do with how much money we have in the bank, how much material items we have, or what we have done with our job - it has everything to do with the love in our hearts for ourselves and others. I dedicate this post to C and her family and thank them so much for showing me what matters in life. For the first time in my 20 years of traveling the world, feel like part of a family and I didn't know how much a craved this in my life - the wonderful connection. I feel this is a wonderful training time in my life to help me get more in touch with myself and get more in touch with my own loving family in Tennessee.
