Snowed In…..

Sunday was the final day of the Week Long Advanced Retreat with Dr. Joe. We awoke at 3:30 that morning to start our meditation at 4am which lasted until about 8:30am. I got my things packed up right after that and was on the road by 10am to head back to Washington since they were calling for snow to start at 2pm. I had a great journey back down to Washington. The interstate was for the most part clear (except in some spots) and just like the weather report had predicted it started snowing as soon as I got to Whole Foods in Tacoma. I stopped and got some essential items (vegetables and chocolate). I swung by the post office and made my way to Christine’s house. I was a little sketched out on the drive to her house as the roads were only about fifty percent clear or less. Today is Wednesday and since Sunday almost two feet of snow has fallen and I have thoroughly enjoyed the time in the snow (shoveling for an amazing workout) and not traveling anywhere for three days.

I feel this short stint of not driving anywhere is preparing me for the next three months that I will not have a car and be living at a place that I will be chilling and working and spending lots of time at. I find it hard to believe that in 10 days I will be in seventy degree weather. I think I may be able to get used to this warm weather travel during the winters and then being more north and in the mountains in the summer months.
