The Wound Is Where The Light Gets In. ~Rumi
I absolutely love this wise quote from Rumi. Today as I sit in a room with 20 other health practitioners here in Tampa, Florida it is evident that each human faces challenges and most of the time those challenges are leading us along our souls journey in the right direction. I am not confirming that each person in this room has had a serious illness, but we are all human and not only have we face emotional ups and downs, we have all faced physical ups and downs. Sometimes the hurts, the bad times in our life are our classrooms for the work to happen that builds us into the better version of our souls truest expression.
Remember the terrible wildfires that entrenched the California coastline this previous year and caused so much pain and heartache and loss for so many - later the coast face torrential rainfall and flooding - now in the spring the coastline is blooming with wildflowers that are such a beautiful site for us to witness. Ups and downs are inevitable in life, however, we can choose to see the lesson or stay in a victim state of mind. I hope you are inspired to use your free will and choice to talk to someone you trust, get the help you need, maybe some silence and reflection to better understand your situations and cycles.
If you have had a heartache, a huge setback, a sickness, etc, can you take a look at that experience from the perspective of : What is this not fun experience trying to show me / teach me? This wisdom may not come overnight, but I can guarantee the experience isn’t just for you to suffer or experience pain. I can promise you there is deep soul level growth trying to happen - we can choose to listen or ignore.
May you always remember, The wound is where the light gets in. ~Rumi
